‘I wrote Silver Lake just before moving in with my partner and it’s perhaps the sappiest love song I’ve written. It’s based on the simple idea of creating a place that belongs to both of you - whether that’s a physical space like an apartment or the space you have for eachother, that feeling of comfort when you think of them. It’s about how a person can make you feel as if there is no past or future without them, everything you need is right here.”

Written, recorded, mixed and mastered by Archie, the track also features his partner Jasmine on backing vocals. Scott Alex Robinson (SPIKEMYHEART, Ahno) also contributes to the track, lending their jazzy drumming technique to the rhythm section.

The video for 'Silver Lake' was directed and edited by Archie and features a montage of car journeys Archie and his partner took together alongside footage of their apartment and of the lake from which the song derives its name.
