altimore at an Angle is the brainchild of South London-based multi-instrumentalist G. Gillingham. Defined by his dissonant vocals, off-kilter drumbeats and jangly country-infused guitar riffs, Gillingham has created a project reminiscent of 80's alternative bands such as Echo & the Bunnymen and The Church. With lyrics touching on diverse themes ranging from Orientalism to B-movie horror films, the project is united by a wistful and spooky atmosphere influenced by the likes of The National and Talking Heads.
